As is probably very evident in any post I do about The Hunger Games, I’m a *huge* Jennifer Lawrence fan! From Katniss Everdeen to Raven/Mystique, Jennifer shines in every role she undertakes. But I have to be honest with you, the Jennifer Lawrence/Bradley Cooper duo is quickly becoming one of my faves. I could watch Silver Linings Playbook everyday (and did for the better part of two months after I got the DVD). And even though they weren’t directly opposite one another in American Hustle, Bradley and Jennifer were still fantastic. Interestingly, the two of them have reunited for another David O. Russell film Joy (coming from 20th Century Fox on Christmas Day 2015). However, we won’t have to wait that long to see them onscreen together again.
Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper’s third collaboration, the feature film Serena from Magnolia Home Entertainment, will be arriving on Blu-ray/DVD/Digital HD June 9!
Serena is based on the New York Times bestselling book by Ron Rash and follows George (Cooper) and Serena Pemberton (Lawrence) as they begin to build a timber empire in the mountains of North Carolina during the Depression-era. They fall in love and get married, but their happiness is short-lived when Serena learns that she is unable to bear children, and the consequence of that news leads the couple down a tragic and deadly path. This passionate tale of love and tragedy was directed by Susanne Bier and also stars Rhys Ifans and Toby Jones.

The North Carolina mountains at the end of the 1920s – George and Serena Pemberton, love-struck newly-weds, begin to build a timber empire.
