VIDEO: Synopsis & Sneak Peek of ‘Sleepy Hollow’ Season 2, Episode 15 “Spellcaster”

February 2, 2015 By Funmbi Leave a Comment

Preview Sleepy Hollow season 2, episode 15 “Spellcaster” with video and photo sneak peeks. The new episode airs Monday, February 2 at 9:00pm ET|PT on FOX.

Last week’s episode of Sleepy Hollow (“Kali Yuga“) was so great for several reasons. First, IchAbbie karaoke will always be at the top of my list of favorite moments from the show. Ichabod (Tom Mison) singing an actual sea shanty; the IchAbbie “Proud Mary” duet…I may/may not have had actual tears in my eyes from feeling so much joy and humor. However, this episode also represented the rekindling of the IchAbbie partnership that I’ve missed so much in season 2. Ichabod and Abbie (Nicole Beharie) themselves had a conversation about how their relationship had been off (which we’ve all noticed and maybe even criticized). Yet, they made a recommitment to their friendship and Team Witness, and I was definitely happy to see this!

In this episode, we also learned more about Nick Hawley (Matt Barr) and how he was raised by the vetala demon, Carmilla (guest-star Jaime Murray). For some reason, I was not at all surprised to learn that Hawley had a supernatural creature as a mother-figure. Nick seemed to want nothing to do with Carmilla, but she wasn’t willing to let him go, even after helping her to break into Fort Knox to steal a statue that helps turns people into vetalas. As Carmilla was about to change Hawley, Ichabod, Abbie, and Jenny (Lyndie Greenwood) were able to free him, even though Carmilla escaped. This was probably the last we’d be seeing Hawley for awhile, as he explained to Jenny that he didn’t want to put anyone in danger.

Also, Captain Irving (Orlando Jones) was finally exonerated of murder charges (from taking the blame of the murder committed by his daughter while she was possessed by one of Moloch’s demons). Later on, Katrina (Katia Winter) was able to do the supernatural physical exam on Irving and found that his soul was free from Henry. (YES!) But when Irving hugged his wife (guest star Jill Marie Jones), we saw that things might not be completely OK because he had no reflection.

In tonight’s episode “Spellcaster”:

A warlock who was involved in the Salem witch trials escapes purgatory and finds a book of spells. Meanwhile, Abbie struggles to trust Frank again; and Henry has an identity crisis. (via TV Guide)

Take a look at these sneak peeks from the upcoming show. In the first video, we see that the dangerous warlock has descended on Sleepy Hollow, gotten ahold of a spell book, and performs a pretty gruesome spell. In the second clip, Ichabod and Abbie are watching security video from the robbery—Abbie tries to explain image enhancing technology and Katrina identifies him to be Solomon Kent, who is bad news. In the third, Irving and Abbie finally talk it out—they’re both mistrustful, but agree to a fresh start. And in the final clip, Ichabod, Abbie, and Katrina go after Solomon Kent, and we get a hint of why Katrina’s magic has been so hit or miss:

Check out these images from tonight’s episode, and don’t forget to tune into FOX at 9:00pm ET|PT for “Spellcaster.” Make sure to join me over on twitter to live tweet while we watch!
