It’s no secret that I completely adore Absolute Beginners by SJ Hooks! This debut novel has the perfect balance of humor, sexy romance, and just a little bit of drama to tug at your heartstrings and make you so invested in the characters and stories. If you’ve read my review, you know that Absolute Beginners ends with a bit of a cliffhanger—Stephen Worthington has realized that he’s in love with Julia Wilde, but how can he convince her to move the relationship beyond a “friends with benefits” arrangement?

However, we can’t forget that there’s still the little, teeny-tiny, potential obstacle of Julia being Stephen’s student. You know that I’m totally here for this forbidden romance and it’ll be great to see how everything gets resolved.
