Preview Tonight’s ‘black-ish’ Season 1, Episode 18 “Sex, Lies, and Vasectomies”

April 1, 2015 By Funmbi Leave a Comment

It’s April Fool’s Day and Bow has a BIG prank in-store Dre! Watch a sneak peek of tonight’s black-ish, airing at 9:31pm ET|PT on ABC.

Last week on black-ish “30 Something“, it was Dre’s (Anthony Anderson) birthday, and while he was initially concerned about losing his swagger as he turned 40, his family showed him that definitely wasn’t the case. Dre suffered from pretty bad injuries (a sprained ankle from basketball with the youngsters, a leg cramp and chipped tooth during basketball with his work colleagues), but what really helped him perk up was planning a great “non-old guy” 40th birthday. He got some help from his super-cool assistant Curtis (Allen Maldonado), but when he suggested a location that was so “awesome” that the club closed down, Dre decided to have a house party. His buddy Jermaine Dupri dj’d, there was a taco bar  and champagne (NOM), and lots of fun was had.

The kids seemed concerned that he looked pretty terrible for 40 and that downward slide had begun, but with Bow’s (Tracee Ellis Ross) encouragement, they searched for the perfect gift for their Dad. They wanted to make him something personal and meaningful…maybe a talent show? (Junior + ventriloquist dummy = win, right?) Bow and Mama Ruby (Jenifer Lewis) also had a little competition about who could get Dre the best birthday gift…but ultimately, the family decided to make him a very beautiful slide show featuring photos of them through the years 🙂

Birthday celebrations are fun, but you know we love holiday themed black-ish episodes, and tonight, the Johnsons have something good for us for April Fool’s Day! In tonight’s episode “Sex, Lies, and Vasectomies,” directed by Matt Sohn, written by Gail Lerner, and guest-starring Maury Povich as himself:

Bow learns from her colleague that Dre never had the vasectomy a few years back that he was supposedly scheduled, so she decides to see if he’ll come clean and tell the truth. (via ABC)

Watch this sneak peek from the upcoming show that features Bow playing a trick on Dre to see if he’ll tell the truth about the vasectomy. SHe tells him that she’s a little late, which is odd…but she’s not concerned about being pregnant because Dre had the procedure…right???

Could Bow be pregnant?! Watch a sneak peek from tonight’s all-new #blackishABC: https://t.co/EWCQ01PLlK

Can we talk about Dre’s closet?! He has cardboard heads attached to each of the hangers with his outfits! That’s certainly one way to think about how something will look on you… Also, Bow’s trick is hilarious! I feel a little bad that Dre’s nervous, but he deserves it *giggles madly* And you have to love Mary J. Blige in the background!

Remember to tune into ABC at 9:31pm ET|PT for “Sex, Lies, and Vasectomies” and enjoy April Fool’s Day with black-ish!

Wednesday may be #AprilFools, but what happens on #blackishABC could be very real! https://t.co/6iekYMjHSk — black-ish (@black_ishABC) March 30, 2015
