Disney’s ‘Into the Woods’ Comes Out on Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital HD on March 24, 2015

Disney’s Into the Woods came out in 2014 and was adapted for the screen by James Lapine from Stephen Sondheim Tony Award winning musical Into the Woods. The film was directed by Rob Marshall who also was a producer on the film along with Marc Platt, John DeLuca, and Callum McDougall. The cast included Meryl Streep as the Witch, Johnny Depp as the Wolf, Emily Blunt as the Baker’s Wife, James Corden as the Baker, Anna Kendrick as Cinderella, Chris Pine as Cinderella’s Prince, Lilla Crawford as Little Red Riding Hood, Daniel Huttlestone as Jack, and Mackenzie Mauzy as Rapunzel.

In the film icon character like Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Rapunzel come to life and their stories are intermixed with the baker and his wife. The baker and his wife desperately want to have a child and need to reverse the curse put upon them by the witch and they go on a quest to do so. Disney’s Into the Woods takes you on a wild adventure where we come across many of our fairy tales favorites.
