As promised, tickets for The Divergent Series: Insurgent are available to pre-order starting TODAY! And to sweeten the deal, if you buy them via Fandango, MovieTickets.com, AMCTheatres.com, and Cinemark.com within the first 24 hours (before 12 midnight EST tonight), you’ll also get a FREE download of Divergent! Now I know many of us already have one or two (*cough*maybe even three/four*cough*) copies of the first film, but as far as I’m concerned, you can never have too many!
And to celebrate, Lionsgate released the final Insurgent trailer “Stand Together,” which you can watch below. “Stand Together” has several new scenes from the movie including: Tris (Shailene Woodley) running to the Amity compound; Tris cutting her hair for a different look; Johanna (Octavia Spencer) warning Tris not to let her anger consume her; Caleb’s (Ansel Elgort) and Peter’s (Miles Teller) betrayals; and Four (Theo James) uniting the Factionless and remaining Dauntless to stop Jeanine (Kate Winslet):
EPIC doesn’t even begin to describe this film…the story, acting, action, and special effects all look larger than life! Two things in particular stand out to me. First, Marcus (Ray Stevenson) did flea the city with Tris and Four after putting a stop to Jeanine’s simulation, but why haven’t we seen him in any of the teasers? In fact, the only indication we have that Marcus made it to Amity might be THIS IMAGE from “Divergent Fandom Day” …interesting, no?
Second, I was upset with Caleb in the books, but I have a feeling I’m going to be even more annoyed with him in the films. “You are living proof that the divergent problem has grown beyond control.” Is he serious?! I assume he’s talking about Tris, HIS SISTER! Yet, Caleb shows himself completely willing to throw her under the bus to get in Jeanine’s good graces. *sigh*
