VIDEO: New ‘House of Cards’ Season 3 Trailer Debuts During Sunday Academy Awards

February 24, 2015 By Funmbi Leave a Comment

In the latest House of Cards season 3 trailer, Claire questions the path that brought her and Frank to the White House. House of Cards returns this Friday, February 27 on NETFLIX.

Last week NETFLIX released a sneak peek of House of Cards‘ third season, and it was clear that all was not well in paradise. As President and First Lady Underwood sat down to take their official portrait, we could see that Claire (Robin Wright) would rather have been anywhere but there. Well, yesterday the second official trailer for the upcoming season debuted during the live telecast of the 2015 Oscars, and the scenes shed a bit more light on what could be going on between Frank (Kevin Spacey) and Claire.

In the video (which you can watch below), Claire is questioning the path they’ve taken to get to where they are. Has it been worth it? While Claire might want more, Frank thinks getting the presidency has absolutely been worth it. We get scenes of him visiting soldiers and on the campaign trail, working very hard to secure his legacy. And the trailer ends with Frank Underwood speaking directly to the viewer, one of his signature moves:

“What are you looking at?”

*SHIVERS* It’s like Frank is going to come through the screen and push us in front of a metro train! 😉

You know, I don’t really blame Claire! She and Frank lied, manipulated, and murdered to get to the White House. If I were her, I’d be questioning things too. You have to wonder how long this “house of cards” can continue to stand. What do you think?

Season 3 debuts THIS FRIDAY on NETFLIX, and I’m all ready to barricade in my apartment and power-watch the 13 episodes!

Remember you can get ready for February 27 by streaming the first and second seasons of House of Cards right now on NETFLIX.

This Emmy-winning original thriller series stars Golden Globe winner Kevin Spacey as ruthless, cunning Congressman Francis Underwood, who will stop at nothing to conquer the halls of power in Washington D.C. His secret weapon: his gorgeous, ambitious, and equally conniving wife Claire (Golden Globe winner Robin Wright). (via NETFLIX)
