You’re cordially invited to Hayley and Jackson’s wedding… preview tonight’s The Originals, “I Love You, Goodbye” with video and photo sneak peeks. The new episode airs at 8:00pm ET|PT on The CW.
In last week’s episode of The Originals (“The Devil is Damned“), time was of the essence: Vincent/Finn (joined by Freya) was on the hunt for Baby Hope. At the same time Klaus (Joseph Morgan), Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin), and the other Mikaelsons were determined to put a stop to their older brother.
In the bayou, Hayley and Jackson (Nathan Parsons) were wrapping up their pre-marital rituals when they found out that other wolfpacks wanted to join them in the benefits of the supernatural wedding. In order for this to happen, they would have to make Jackson their alpha, thereby expanding their werewolf army. Hayley also received a warning from Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) that Vincent/Finn (Yusuf Gatewood) now knew about Hope and was planning to use the super-hungry vampires to launch an attack…which did happen.
Klaus and Kaleb/Kol (Daniel Sharman) finally had it out, with Klaus ultimately saying that, despite threats, he wouldn’t actually kill his brother. Kaleb/Kol was also finally able to prove himself by joining forces with witch-Rebekah (and channeling Klaus) to cast the spell that would overpower Vincent/Finn.
And back in Arkansas, Elijah (Daniel Gillies) faced off against Vincent/Finn. The fight was pretty vicious, but with help from Kaleb/Kol, Rebekah (Maisie Richardson-Sellers), and Klaus, Elijah was able to delay Vincent enough to create a gas explosion in the house, hopefully killing Vincent/Finn. But the most interesting (kind of creepy) development was when Cami (Leah Pipes) and Baby Hope were approaching the house (as the explosion was about to happen), the car mysteriously stopped. Once the explosion happened, the car started back up again…and like Cami, we’re led to believe that Hope was already a pretty powerful being…
In tonight’s episode “I Love You, Goodbye,” directed by Matt Hastings and written by Carina Adly MacKenzie and Michael Narducci:
THE BIG DAY — With the final preparations for her union to Jackson underway, Hayley begins to question whether the ritual will actually work. After arriving to the compound, Elijah has a tense encounter with Klaus and quickly suspects that his brother may be up to something. Meanwhile, Kaleb, who is harboring a devastating secret from Davina, seeks help from Rebekah when he realizes time is not on his side. Lastly, Cami makes a startling revelation involving baby Hope. Producers Julie Plec and Michael Narducci give us their weekly sneak peek of the upcoming show in the video below. Since no where seems to be safe, Elijah, Cami, and Baby Hope make their way back to New Orleans, which means a Haylijay reunion! However, the need to seal control over the werewolves and remove Vincent/Finn’s power necessitates Jackson and Hayley get married ASAP:
*sigh* Of course I want Baby Hope to be safe, but my Haylijah shipping heart is devastated!
