VIDEO: Sneak Peek & Synopsis of ‘The Originals’ Season 2, Episode 13 “The Devil is Damned”

February 9, 2015 By Funmbi Leave a Comment

If Freya is back, what does this mean about Aunt Dahlia? Preview tonight’s The Originals “The Devil is Damned” with video sneak peeks. The new episode airs at 8:00pm ET|PT on The CW.

In last week’s The Originals, contrary to what Klaus (Joseph Morgan) might have wanted, several secrets were revealed that will definitely have lasting effects as we continue though the rest of the season.

First, as Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) was still deciding whether or not she could trust Jackson (Nathan Parsons) with all her secrets, he revealed a whopper. It was in fact Jackson’s granddad that killed Hayley’s parents because he didn’t want them to make peace with Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) and the vampires. It seemed like Jackson had been carrying that guilt for awhile.

When Klaus finally tracked down Hayley, the two of them faced off about the best way to protect Hope. Klaus didn’t trust Jackson’s intentions for Hayley and the wolfpack, but Hayley was inclined to see Jackson as being sincere. Furthermore, she was not afraid to tell Klaus that he, his actions, and his enemies were the real threats to Hope. Of course Klaus then overreacted and snapped Hayley’s neck, which was jarring, but not that surprising.

When Klaus went for Jackson, we discovered that perhaps Klaus harbored jealousy because Jackson spent time with Ansel (Lloyd Owen) and learned a great deal from him—something that Klaus was not able to do. Jackson did point out the fact that this was Klaus’ own fault for killing his father… In the end, Hayley came to the rescue and was very adamant in her desire to be honest with Jackson because he would help protect Hope.

Elsewhere, Vincent/Finn (Yusuf Gatewood) was able to decipher from his conversations with Marcel that Hope was still alive. And Rebekah (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) was finally able to escape from the asylum with the help of a new, powerful witch who is revealed to be Freya (Riley Voelkel). Furthermore, Freya was very clear in her plans to visit her younger siblings, and in particular, Klaus and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) would have to be on their best behavior.

So now, there are several questions we must ask: will Vincent actually hurt Hope? I think he might, especially if he believes that’s the only way to stop Dahlia from returning (like Esther told him). Speaking of Dahlia, where is she??? Freya has been out and about the world for years—remember, she even came to see her siblings in the 1920s in NOLA—so what does this mean? Is Freya OK? What does she have planned for her family? Would she be willing to help protect Hope? If this family reunion does happen, it will be an epic one!

In tonight’s episode “The Devil is Damned,” directed by Lance Anderson and written by Christopher Hollier and Julie Plec:

FAMILY IS POWER–More dangerous than ever, Vincent remains one step ahead after joining forces with a powerful figure from his past. As the threat to Hope’s life grows stronger, Klaus realizes he has no choice but to place his trust in his siblings to ensure she remains protected. Meanwhile, after being presented with an enticing proposition, Kaleb/Kol is forced to make a difficult life or death decision, and Elijah finds himself in the fight of his life after an unexpected visitor arrives at the safe house. At the bayou, Hayley and Jackson continue to prepare for the unification ritual, but things quickly go awry when they become pawns in Vincent’s dangerous plan. (via The CW)

Producers Julie Plec and Michael Narducci give us a preview of “The Devil is Damned”: Vincent is working hard to find where Hope is located, while Hayley and Jackson are finishing up their premarital rituals and shoring up their werewolf alliances. However, things will be coming to a head when Vincent/Finn uses Marcel and the vampires to get to Hayley:

Take a look at this sneak peek from the upcoming show: Rebekah is with Klaus, telling Elijah about Freya’s supposed return. They’re trying to decide whether they believe her and what this means about Dahlia:

Elijah, ever the peacemaker. And he’s folding baby blankets 🙂

Make sure to watch the extended trailer for “The Devil is Damned” below and tune into The CW at 8:00pm ET|PT tonight for the new episode. I’ll be live tweeting during the show, so come join in!
