VIDEO: Synopsis & Sneak Peek of ‘Jane The Virgin’ Season 1, Chapter 12

February 2, 2015 By Funmbi 1 Comment

Preview Jane The Virgin season 1, episode 12 (“Chapter Twelve”) with video sneak peeks. The new episode airs Monday, February 2 at 9:00pm ET|PT on The CW.

In last week’s episode of Jane The Virgin (“Chapter Eleven“), while some conflicts were on their way to being resolved, some new avenues of drama burst wide open.

The episode began with Jane (Gina Rodriguez) trying to figure out a way to get her mom and Rafael to bond with one another. She ended up suggesting a family dinner, but even though Jane prepped Rafael (Justin Baldoni), it was clear that Xiomara (Andrea Navedo) was still Team Michael (Brett Dier). Xo didn’t like Rafael’s suggestion that he take financial responsibility for Jane and the baby. Villanuevas don’t take handouts!

Jane also had to make a decision about her future employment—either accept a permanent position as a teacher at the school or take an internship as a writer on Rogelio’s (Jaime Camil) telenovela, The Passions of Santos. Jane decided to take on both jobs, and found that while she enjoyed writing, she wasn’t sure if she would be good at it, professionally. But the teaching, writing, and waitressing proved to be too much and Jane ended up falling asleep at the wheel and getting into a car accident.

Elsewhere, “Petra” (Yael Grobglas) confided in Lachlan (Michael Rady) about Ivan and Milos, and it seemed that Lachlan was willing to help her. However, he was more interested in manipulating Petra and using her fear to keep her with him. Rafael also started investigating his father’s connection to Sin Rostro and if he knew about the tunnels under the hotel. Unfortunately, Rafael got into a confrontation with one of the subcontractors that ended with threats of violence if he kept asking questions…and the subcontractor followed through on those threats when Michael (who was following Rafael) tried to question him.

Even though Michael had seemingly moved on with Nadine (Azie Tesfai), he confessed to Jane that he still loved her and planned to wait for her. Unfortunately Nadine overheard the conversation and decided to sabotage Michael’s investigation into Rafael by contacting his supervisor about him disobeying orders.

By the end of the episode, Xo had confessed to Rogelio about her celibacy pact with God and he assured her that he wanted more than sex. Xo and Rafael had also bonded over wanting Jane slowing down and taking better care of herself. And Jane decided to take on the writing internship; but we learned that the lead writer, Dina (Judy Reyes), and Rogelio’s assistant Nicholas (David Castaneda) were planning to use Jane to somehow sabotage Rogelio.

In tonight’s episode, “Chapter Twelve”

Jane’s career is on the upswing, but she’s skeptical about this good fortune, especially because it involves Rogelio. Elsewhere, Sin Rostro’s link to the hotel has Rafael worrying about his family’s safety; and Petra can no longer run from her past. (via TV Guide)

Take a look at these sneak peeks from the upcoming show. In the first video, Yael Grobglas gives us a preview of what we can expect tonight. We’ll finally meet Milos, who is clearly not over Petra. Dina and Nicholas’ plan to use Jane and sabotage Rogelio will come to fruition. And Rafael is still worried about Sin Rostro’s connection to the hotel.

In the second video, we get a clip from “Episode Twelve” of Xo and Rogelio spending quality time together…but it’s tough give Xo’s celibacy promise:

Remember to tune into The CW at 9:00pm ET|PT for the all new Jane The Virgin, and come live tweet with us while we watch!
