According to a NBCUniversal press release “12 Monkeys shattered [Syfy] channel records for a series premiere.” Bringing in 2.3 million viewers between Live TV and on demand viewing for the Friday, January 16, 2015 9 PM airing. Hopefully the momentum for 12 Monkeys will continue throughout the season.

The trail of a mysterious organization called the “Army of the 12 Monkeys” leads Cole to a mental institution in 2015, where a patient holds the key to the plague that destroys the world.
