Ever since we learned last month that House of Cards‘s upcoming third season would debut in February, I’ve been hoping/wishing we’d get an official trailer! I mean, that teaser of President and First Lady Underwood ascending Air Force One was pretty sweet (and a little creepy if I’m being honest), but I’m so excited to see what everyone has been up to.
Well this past Sunday, Kevin Spacey won his first Golden Globe award for best actor in a TV drama (as Frank Underwood). And wouldn’t you know, during the very next commercial break, House of Cards Season 3 trailer aired! In the trailer (which you can see below), we get more insight into Frank’s life now that he’s president. We get scenes of him carrying out his new duties in the Oval office, attending state funerals, meeting foreign dignitaries, and addressing the press. But there’s also an undercurrent of tension and anxiety…
See what I mean? There are definitely high stakes, especially since both Frank and Claire (Robin Wright) have sacrificed a lot to reach this point and complete their quest for vengeance. But there is such a thing as karma, and you have to wonder how long they’ll be able to hold on to all of this. Are Frank and Claire murderers? Are they survivors? Well the truth is probably that their a bit of both…
I’m also very curious to find out Doug’s (Michael Kelly) fate, as well as how Remy (Mahershala Ali) and even Rachel (Rachel Brosnahan) are doing.
Remember, House of Cards returns on February 27, 2015…we should probably start preparing now for a non-stop binge-watching session!
