With Jamie and Claire in Jamaica, the search for Ian kicks into high gear. Watch a sneak peek of this week’s Outlander, “The Bakra”!

After taking a major risk to escape the Porpoise, in “Uncharted” Claire made it to land. Yet, for a time, it was out of the frying pan and into the fire for Claire, as she tied to survive through very harsh conditions. Despite thirst/hunger, dangerous creatures, and near heat stroke, she made it to Hacienda de la Fuente and the messy Father Fogden. This man an his mother-in-law were BONKERS. Between the coconut with a hightop fade (#FreeCoco), yupa weed, and Mamacita’s unpleasantness, you know Claire had to be concerned about how she would escape this situation! But in the end, we got another Jamie/Claire reunion, a sweet Fersali wedding, and allllllllll the delicious turtle soup. (Thank you Yi Tien Cho!) 😉
For more of our thoughts about “Uncharted” (including whether or not Mamacita was secretly trying to help Claire and how much we love Jamie/Clare sexy times), check out our full episode recap and video review on YouTube.
Make sure to watch EPs Ron Moore, Toni Graphia, and Matthew B. Roberts talk about filming “Uncharted”, with Caitriona Balfe being a badass with her snake costar Scar and the importance of the moment when Jamie gives Fergus the Fraser name:
Also, you must check out this awesome treat! STARZ released a behind-the-scenes video of Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe showing us the Artemis as they prepare to film the last scene of “Uncharted”. The coolest part is that video is 360 degrees, meaning that we the viewer can shift our screen to see the whole, massive set! Sam and Cait introduce us to the crew (César Domboy and Lauren Lyle are there too). We also get a deleted scene that takes place the morning about Jamie’s and Claire’s turtle soup encounter (and Fersali’s wedding night) *EEEP*
My friends, Jamie and Claire are now in Jamaica, so the search for Ian can now begin in earnest. In “The Bakra” (written by Luke Schelhaas, directed by Charlotte Brandström):
The Artemis finally reaches Jamaica bringing Jamie and Claire that much closer to their goal. During a lavish ball on the island, the Frasers encounter old allies, as well as former adversaries who threaten to derail their mission. (via STARZ)
Hmmmm… who are these “old allies” and “former adversaries” and how in the world did we all come to meet again in Jamaica?! Also, can we get some confirmation that Ian is still alive?
Well, we get some clues in these clips from “The Bakra”. The first (via Elle.com exclusive) picks up after the crew of the Bruja have captured Ian on Silkie Island. They seize the box of jewels from Ian and realize that someone called the Bakra would be interested in him too. Interesting… Watch HERE.
In a second clip (via HarpersBazaar.com exclusive), Ian has made it to the Caribbean, where he’s trapped with other young boys. The more he learns about the Bakra, the more danger he realizes he’s in. Watch HERE.
Yes, Sassenachs, it’s time to gather in a prayer circle to #SaveIan! And hopefully Jamie and Claire will be able to do that while avoiding Captain Leonard and the British authorities. YIKES!
Check out four images from “The Bakra” (plus the episode trailer); then make sure to live tweet with me at 8p/7c this Sunday, December 3 on STARZ!
