Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe wish fans a happy World Outlander Day 2017 with a fun video from set in South Africa!
Happy World Outlander Day, Sassenachs! Today we’re celebrating the the 26th anniversary of the publication of the first book in the series! All day, fans have been using the #WorldOutlanderDay tag to share their favorite things about the books and TV show. We’re so grateful to Diana Gabaldon for her brainchild, as well as the cast, creators, and crew who continue to produce a phenomenal TV adaptation.
Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe got in on the fun by sharing a brief video from South Africa. You’ll recall that they’re finishing production of the rest of Season 3 in Cape Town. Judging from this photo of Sam (like many of us have guessed) they’re likely filming the Trans-Atlantic journey from Scotland to the Americas, at the heart of Voyager.

Three weeks left of filming… WOW! I usually hate how the Summer speeds by, but I can’t wait until September for the premiere. And Jamie mentioning the printshop is almost too much for my heart to handle!
BTW, did you see the way Sam and Cait look aged up…especially their hair!
