#WhoIsUnderTheSheet? Not Oliver and not Bonnie! But… Annalise has been arrested for something and there is in fact a survivor from the fire!
I don’t know about you guys, but I feel a kind of disconnect between How to Get Away with Murder’s “present” timeline and the “six weeks into the future” timeline. How are we going to get to the point when Annalise’s house is on fire and someone dies?
Well, in last week’s episode “Always Bet Black” Laurel travels to Miami for help from her father (owner of a tech firm that may/not be on the right side of the law) to find Frank. We know that Laurel has a tenuous relationship with her dad: animosity from him leaving her mother while she was having some mental health issues. In any event, last week we’re able to see some reconciliation between Laurel and her Dad. Plus, he knows where Frank is! But interestingly, Laurel doesn’t share that information with Annalise…
Back in Philadelphia, the legal clinic’s case of the week was a high-profile one featuring the “Call-girl Creeper/Toby” Things get even more complicated when Toby confesses to killing another girl in 2012 after being “triggered” by her making fun of him. In the end, and with Nate’s help, Toby tells the court that his cellmate in prison told him about murdering and burying the girl in 2012. Toby will reveal the details in exchange for a plea deal in the current case for three years in prison. At first, Toby is upset that he’ll spend any time in prison. But Annalise LITERALLY slaps sense into the man (see the video below):
