Here at We So Nerdy, we’re always on the look-out for awesome new ways to express our fandom love.
Well today, I’m using our “Saturday Shout-out” to shine a light on an innovative new project that fanboys need to have on their radar!
For years Tony B Kim, AKA Crazy4ComicCon has been helping us make our SDCC experiences as robust as possible with his site and SDCC Survival Guide web series.
At the same time, Tony has been active in encouraging collaboration among nerdy content creators and fans via the (hopefully) annual Game of Bloggers event at Comic-Con. Furthermore he’s been part of the effort to promote the inclusivity of minority voices in fandom, evidenced by his upcoming SDCC panel “How To Build A Geek Brand”.
Tony is taking his quest to empower nerds to a new level!
Just this month, he launched HERO WITHIN, a new fashion collection that offers heroic style for everyday geeks.
HERO WITHIN is a lifestyle men’s fashion brand that celebrates the heroism found in today’s modern geek.
Tony’s goal is to provide opportunities for expressing your fandom in a professional environment by offering sophisticated outerwear that both reflects geekdom as well as expresses your inner hero.

And Tony is totally right! Nerds are everywhere—we’re online content creators, influencers in business, shapers of culture and change makers in the community. There’s no reason why our fashion shouldn’t reflect that.
HERO WITHIN integrates iconic symbols of Superman, Batman, and other DC Comics heroes into the construction of each garment, creating a subtle yet bold statement.
