I CANNOT deal with Sam Keating (Tom Verica) anymore. I’ve completely lost patience with this man, and honestly, I’m not that sorry he ends up dead. I know this may be a very harsh thing to say, but if you’ve been keeping up with How to Get Away with Murder, It’s quite likely you agree with my sentiments.
Time and time again, Sam has lied. He’s lied about knowing Lila Stanguard (Megan West) outside of class. He lies about being in the state the night she dies. He’s lied about being Mr. Darcy, and it’s pretty clear to me that he’s lying about murdering Lila. That reveal at the end of last week’s episode when we find out Lila was pregnant–I can’t even describe to you how much I was in shock. It is a literal jaw-dropping moment. And there’s no way Sam doesn’t know!
I also want to revise one of my previous speculations. I’m fairly sure that Bonnie (Liza Weil) is not in love with Sam. Rather, I think she’s very protective of Annalise (Viola Davis), and Bonnie keeps an eye of Sam for Annalise’s sake. To be honest, it doesn’t seem as if Bonnie likes Sam at all.
And even though last week’s episode was supposed to make me feel more sympathetic with Rebecca (Katie Findlay), it didn’t work. Sure Wes (Alfred Enoch) sleeps with her and confides in her about his mom’s suicide, but I still don’t understand why he’s so drawn to her. I still think Rebecca is suspicious. With that said, I’m interested to figure how what Nate (Billy Brown) wants with her…
In tonight’s episode “He Has a Wife”:
A mother goes on trial for killing her family’s nanny while taking a strong medicine. Meanwhile, Rebecca and Bonnie’s loyalty to Annalise is shaken following the discovery of a stunning detail in Lila’s case; and a flashback reveals more about Lila and Sam’s relationship. (via TV Guide)
Viola Davis is so excellent as Annalise *sigh* But as I mentioned before, I don’t believe a thing that comes out of Sam’s mouth. What do you think?
