Today Arrow released images of Laurel Lance in her Black Canary attire.
Many of us have not-so-patiently been waiting to see if Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) would step into her sister’s boots and become Black Canary on Arrow. There was a rumor circulating on Twitter that Arrow would take a different root and create a new version of the DC Comics Black Canary for Laurel. Possibly to the point that upon’s The Canary/Sara Lance’s (Caity Lotz) death, Laurel would become the Red Canary. However, since Sara wasn’t officially the Black Canary, it’s good to know that original plan of making Laurel the Black Canary is coming to fruition.
Since Sara’s murder Laurel has been on a tailspin. Instead of turning to alcohol and drugs as she did in the past, she took to the streets to seek her vengeance. Her first attempt wasn’t successful, but now with the help of Ted Grant (J.R. Ramirez), Laurel will have the know how on how to take down a bad guy or twenty.
Today, Arrow released the first image of Laurel as Black Canary and @MzKatieCassidy looks fantastic.
