20th Century Fox releases a series of X-Men: Apocalypse character posters and everyone is ready to go to war.
This is a really tough year to be a fangirl/fanboy. Sure, we’re seeing the rapid expansion of the Marvel and DC across both film and TV. But at the same time, the cinematic universes are rife with conflict. In Batman v. Superman, the “dawn” of the JusticeLeague follows a brutal battle between the Bat of Gotham and Son of Krypton. Next month, Captain America: Civil War will split the Avengers, and from the trailers and posters we’ve seen, it’s a bloody (and potentially deadly) battle.
As if that isn’t enough, the resurrection of En Sabah Nur triggers the end of days in X-Men: Apocalypse, dividing the mutants between those who want to destroy the world and those determined to defend it. *CRIES* Why can’t we all just get along?!

Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible.
