Blindspot returns tonight! Will we be any closer to finding out #WhoIsJaneDoe? Get a sneak peek of the mid-season premiere, airing at 10:00pm ET|PT on NBC.
“This was all your idea, your plan. You did this to yourself.”
And with these words, the Blindspot winter finale (“Evil Handmade Instrument”) in November blew our collective mind and left us wondering why in the world anyone would have their own body tattooed with clues about ongoing crimes/corruption/terrorism, wipe their own memories, and have themselves delivered to the FBI’s doorstep.
Trying to decipher who Jane Doe was drove the first ten episodes of Blindspot. In all honesty, we still don’t know. Her training as a Navy SEAL and unexplained knowledge of multiple languages made Jane a formidable partner. At the same time, her skills and tattoos made Jane very dangerous, evidenced by her kidnapping at the hands of Tom Carter (Deputy Director of the CIA trying to keep Operation Daylight under-wraps).
So as we begin the remainder of this season, a few questions stand out:
- Now that Tom Carter is dead, will there be anymore fallout from Operation Daylight? (In particular, I’m wondering if Sophia Varma is actually dead.)
- Will Zapata’s betrayal (when she worked for Tom Carter to get intel on Jane) be exposed?
- Who is Oscar? Can he really be trusted?
- WHO IS JANE DOE? Is she Taylor Shaw? Why would she set this plan in motion, and what would be her endgame?
- Will the Jeller ship sail? Jane and Weller shared a really sweet kiss in the Winter Finale and affirmed that they care for one another. Can we expect something more?
Check out the summary of tonight’s Blindspot mid-season premiere “Cease Forcing Enemy” (written by Peter Lalayanis and Ryan Johnson, directed by Rob Seidenglanz):
THE TEAM FOLLOWS A DANGEROUS CASE OVERSEAS—Jane (Jaimie Alexander) reels from a series of massive revelations about her tattoos and grapples with whether to trust Oscar (guest star Francois Arnaud). Meanwhile, a tattoo leads the team to a shocking discovery in the Black Sea. (via NBC)
Watch a clip from the upcoming show (via Yahoo! TV exclusive) where we see Patterson is still struggling in the aftermath of her boyfriend David’s death. Chief Inspector Fischer interrogates Patterson about the circumstances leading to David’s murder and seems to put the blame squarely on her shoulders:
OUCH! I really hope Patterson doesn’t get in any more trouble…
See below for 10 images from “Cease Forcing Enemy”. And if you need a refresher on all the episodes so far, there’s an awesome 9 minute recap (also below) that will do the trick.
