A look into “Arrow” Season 3, Episode 5, “The Secret Origin of Felicity Smoak” airing tonight on the CW at 8/7c.
Season 3 of the Arrow has been spectacular. Seeing the team work together to find out who killed Sara Lara/Black Canary (Caity Lotz) has been an emotional ride for the viewers. Because of her sisters death, it appears everything is set in motion for Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) to become Red Canary this season. Oliver McQueen/Arrow (Stephen Amell) has had his moments of jackassery in trying to deal with Sara’s murder. In his attempt to keep his crew safe he pushed aside his feelings for Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards). As an Olicity shipper my heart broke watching this happen. Oliver also tried to get John Diggle (David Ramsey) to distance himself from the crew, since he is now a proud father of a daughter he had with Lyla Michaels (Audrey Marie Anderson). However, once Oliver needed to find his sister Thea McQueen (Willa Holland), who has her own hosts of secrets, things seemed to get back on track with the team.
So many questions have popped up with each episode and I’m sure with season 3, episode 5, “The Secret Origin of Felicity Smoak” more will arise. In the below episode synopsis, we can tell it will be a jammed packed episode.
Oliver and Felicity try to contain the destruction caused by a cyber attack that rocks Starling City. Meanwhile, Felicity’s mother makes a surprise visit; Ted questions Laurel’s motives; and Thea buys an apartment with Malcolm’s so-called estate money. (via TV Guide)
“The Secret Origin of Felicity Smoak” guest stars NYPD Blue and Hit the Floor alum, Charlotte Ross as Donna Smoak and former CW series regular of Emily Owens M.D., J.R. Ramirez as Ted Grant.
