During last night’s Golden Globe Awards, NETFLIX debuted a new trailer for House of Cards‘ fourth season that took viewers on a walk down memory lane.
In the teaser, President Frank Underwood addresses the nation from the Oval Office for his 2016 presidential bid, sharing the message that he’s the leader America deserves. All the while we see evidence of Frank’s tenacity (and ruthlessness) via flashbacks of his journey to the White House…
They say we get the leaders we deserve. I think America deserves Frank Underwood, and in your heart, you know I’m right. *SHIVERS*
Goodness, if he’s the leader we deserve, then America has certainly gone off the rails somewhere! But Frank definitely can put (*cough* push *cough*) people first.
Is anyone else creeped out by this teaser? Kevin Spacey is so great at portraying the complexity of Frank Underwood’s character—the brutality, calculation, determination…
And just flashing back to all the things Frank has done, all the people he’s manipulated and sacrificed to get to the top, it’s enough to give someone nightmares! It also makes you wonder how much longer Frank (and Claire) will be able to maintain the status quo.
