VIDEO/PHOTOS: Preview ‘Blindspot’ Season 1, Episode 4 “Bone May Rot”

October 12, 2015 By Funmbi Leave a Comment

Another one of Jane’s tattoos leads Weller and the FBI to the CDC and the threat of biological terrorism. Watch a sneak peek of tonight’s Blindspot, airing at 10:00pm ET|PT on NBC.

Blindspot is definitely one of the fave debuts of this TV season. Every week gets more intense as we watch Jane Doe team up with Kurt Weller and the FBI to try to remember who she is in the midst of saving the world from multiple terrorist plots. Well this weekend NBC announced that Blindspot will be getting a full 22-episode season, making it the first show of Fall 2015 to get a full season order!

This is certainly good news, especially after the big reveal about Jane at the end of last week’s episode!

“Eight Slim Grins” picked up right where “A Stray Howl” left off, with Jane coming face to face with Mysterious Bearded Man in her house. They fought, but she was able to overpower him. Jane also had memories of training with MBM, yet when she told him she remembered, he seemed to believe that was impossible. But before Jane could get more information, he was gunned (presumably by some sort of assassin). As he died, he warned Jane “you can’t trust them”…perhaps meaning the FBI…? Did Jane trust the FBI to keep her safe?

Weller was indignant at being unable to protect Jane, especially given the fact that MBM was pretty much a ghost too. Moreover, evidence from the Taylor Shaw case arrived and they were testing the DNA. By the end of the day, they’d know if Jane was Taylor. While Weller wanted to share the speculations with Jane, Mayfair insisted they keep it a secret. And the remainder of the episode circled around this mutual mistrust. Jane knew Weller and the FBI were keeping things away from her, just as Weller knew Jane wasn’t being totally honest about all her memories or her interaction with MBM.

This week, there was a potential break to figure out Jane’s real identity. A member of the Candymen, an international heist crew, was injured during a jewelry store robbery and while at the hospital, they recognized he had a SEAL tattoo that was an exact replica of Jane’s. Did this assailant know who she was? When Weller and Jane arrived at the hospital, the guy (Casey Robek) was going into surgery, so they decided to locate the remainder of the team. It turned out Casey, his older brother Travis, and their friend Omar were all former SEALs who had been honorably discharged two years ago (which is when they started their heists).

Weller’s team was able to track Travis down to a mini-mall. Jane was meant to stay in the car as Weller, Zapata, and Reade scoped out the stores, but she went off on her own anyway. Jane cornered Travis at an appliance store. He and she fought and when it looked like Travis would shoot Jane, Zapata came to the rescue. Travis got away, but during their interaction, it didn’t seem like he recognized Jane. Weller was upset (“what if I would have lost you?!”), but it seemed they were all trying to figure out Jane’s role on the team.

Soon after, Weller got notice that Casey was out of surgery and awake. When he and Jane got to the hospital, the Candymen arrived and launched an attack. Cell service was blocked and the electricity was cut off so Weller couldn’t call for back-up. Jane was able to move Casey to another room while Weller went out to confront the Candymen. While together, casey woke up and communicated that he did recognize Jane. Unfortunately they were interrupted and when Jane went to go help Weller, Travis got Casey. In the chaos, Weller and Jane are able to take down Travis…Casey dies very soon after, but manages to whisper a clue: “Orion”.

Meanwhile, Patterson was also able to figure out Jane’s tattoo above her right elbow, an FBI case number…which was the redacted file Mayfair was looking at in the pilot! The file was about Saul Guerrero, leader of the Nuestra Sangre gang and Mayfair was listed as the officer in charge of the case. Later, Mayfair met with CIA official about an operation called “Daylight”. He indicated that they needed to minimize liability; if Jane had information about Daylight, she needed to die.

In the end, Patterson revealed the results of the DNA test: JANE IS TAYLOR SHAW.

In tonight’s episode “Bone May Rot”, guest-starring Michael Gaston, Natalie Thomas, and Paul Fitzgerald:

HE TEAM RACES TO CONTAIN A VOLATILE SITUATION AT THE CENTER FOR DISEASE CONTROL—Patterson and her puzzle-expert boyfriend, David (guest star Joe Dinicol) decode a tattoo clue that sends the team to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). While at the CDC, the team discovers a hidden message on Jane’s body that uncovers a plot that could have catastrophic global consequences. Meanwhile, Jane and Weller grow closer. (via NBC)

Welps, I don’t know about you, but I’m definitely HERE for Jane/Taylor and Weller deepening their relationship 😉

Thanks to NBC and Access Hollywood, we have a sneak peek from the upcoming show to share. In the clip Patterson is able to decipher that one of Jane’s tattoos is a familiar logo:

Oak and Maple…you know, you have to wonder how the person/people who designed Jane/Taylor’s tattoos know what they know. Either these are really good people, or VERY bad ones.
From the episode trailer, you see that there’s a huge threat of an infectious disease outbreak that Weller, Jane, and company have to stop.

Plus, we get an indicator that Jane really IS Taylor when she has some flashbacks from her childhood:

Goodness, if Jane/Taylor remembers being kidnapped…WOW! This has so many implications for her relationship with Weller, as well as Weller’s relationship with his father!
