Our world is about to be rocked because we can all get on the magic carpet ride when Disney’s animated comedy Aladdin comes to Disney Movies Anywhere (DMA) and Digital HD on September 29th and in a Blu-ray Combo Pack titled, Aladdin: Diamond Edition on October 13th.
In 1992, the world was enamored with the animated film Aladdin. I was one of the many of millions singing Alan Menken and Howard Ashman’s “A Whole New World,” which went on to win an Academy Award for Best Music, Original Song. We fell in love with Robin Williams as The Genie, Scott Weinger as Aladdin, Linda Larkin as Jasmine, Gilbert Gottfried as Iago, Jonathan Freeman as Jafar, Douglas Seale as Sultan, and Frank Welker as Abu. Now millions will experience Aladdin on Blu-ray and Digital HD.
With the release of Aladdin: Diamond Edition we will see Aladdin “with the help of a hysterically funny, shape-shifting, 10,000-year-old Genie” and the amazing and confident Princess Jasmine come together to thwart the evil sorcerer Jafar, as he attempts to take over the kingdom.
