The Spanish Princess: Part II will return on STARZ on October 11! We’re so excited about this news!!
When we left everyone in Part I, things seemed to be coming together for Catherine, but falling apart for other characters we love. I’m looking at you, Maggie Pole. The end of Part I was absolutely devastating for her.
Unfortunately, this season will definitely see heartbreak and betrayal for Catherine. She comes across as her mother’s daughter in this trailer, and the look of her in armor fitted for her pregnant belly is stunning. I can understand why England adored Catherine of Aragon. She was a complete badass, and we can all agree that Henry never deserved someone like her. He can’t handle how powerful and commanding she is with people. I think he respects her fire, but he tries to control it, and that doesn’t end well.
On a happy note, I’m looking forward to seeing the romance between Lina and Oviedo grow. If you watch closely in the trailer, you’ll see what looks like a love scene for them! I know how things end up between Catherine and Henry because its history, but not for my favorite couple. Lina and Oviedo deserve a happily ever after. I want them to be away from court and raise babies together. She’s Catherine’s rock, though, so it will be a tough road.

“The Spanish Princess” series return continues the story of Queen Catherine (Charlotte Hope) and Henry VIII (Ruairi O’Connor).
