God squad! We have the first few minutes of the season two premiere, and oh my goodness! We’re in for a ride! Let’s take a look!
We may be over two months out from the season two premiere of American Gods, but our prayers have been answered! After the Holy Binge watch of season one yesterday, STARZ released a preview of the season two premiere!
Up until this point, we’ve only been show the Old Gods, Shadow Moon, and Laura Moon. Which I’ll say has been fun. Help me come up with a ship name for Laura and Mad Sweeney, will you? Or tell me one that already exists. I’m not picky.
In this preview, we get our first real look at how the New Gods are fairing after meeting Odin.
Mr. World is being driven by Technical Boy through a golf course (hitting a guy in the process) and into a parking garage. Mr. World stumbles out and he’s glitching something fierce, and Tech Boy takes notice.
“He couldn’t have killed me.”
That’s what Mr. World tells Tech Boy, but I’ll be real with you, it looks like Odin packs a punch! As we move forward, we see that Tech Boy really wants to go after the Old Gods, but Mr. World isn’t here for his guns blazing strategy.
“We can’t move without preparation. Off balance and unready. We’ll marshal our forces and eradicate his paternal stain from the geriatric tomes of every decrepit church, temple, and back-alley apothecary.”
But he can’t do any of this without his best salesperson…
Media.
Yup, right now, Media is MIA, and Mr. World wants Tech Boy to find her immediately.
This does open a door for the writers to change Media’s appearance since Gillian Anderson won’t be returning to the role. Tech Boy has to find a Media in hiding, and he better find her fast so Mr. World can get to destroying Odin.
