Simply, Black Panther is EVERYTHING. Now, this isn’t the place I want to explicate all my feels (for that, please see our roundtable review, as well as our podcast with Stop and Fangirl). But I’ll just say that I continue to be in awe of the nuanced story-telling and direction, brilliant acting, and very meaningful commentary on Black identity, family, and more. There are so many facets to reflect on, and thank goodness Black Panther will soon be available on blu-ray/digital HD so we can continue to watch and flail!
Black Panther will be out Digitally in HD and 4K Ultra HD and Movies Anywhere on May 8, and on 4K Ultra HD/Blu-ray/DVD/On-Demand on May 15.
In addition to the film we love so much, the home release will include tons of bonus features to help us delve even deeper into the world of Black Panther, including: feature commentary from director Ryan Coogler; several making-of featurettes, which detail the Black Panther’s evolution, the remarkable women of Wakanda, the history of T’Challa’s proud nation, and the cosmic origin and technological applications of vibranium; a roundtable discussion with Black Panther filmmakers and writers; and more.
