PREVIEW: ‘The Walking Dead’ Season Eight Finale “Wrath”

April 14, 2018 By Katie Leave a Comment

Rick and the others are headed into Negan’s trap, and things don’t look good for them at all. Here’s your preview for The Walking Dead season finale, “Wrath”, including our WSN video review!

It’s finally here! The timelines should get caught up, and that red-eye, crying Rick that first debuted at SDCC 2017 will finally have a place in The Walking Dead universe.

After Negan managed to get his plans into Rick’s hands via Dwight’s errand boy, Gregory, things are really looking up for Negan. Honestly, there’s a part of me that thinks he should win this fight. He’s always two steps ahead of everyone. Based on the sneak peek for the finale, he’s even willing to sacrifice a few of his own men to make it look real to Rick.

That’s commitment.

Meanwhile, Rick and the others are falling right in step with what Negan wants. This is going to end with another line-up for sure. Let’s be real, though, Negan has Eugene, Gabriel and Dwight. No one is going to trip over themselves for those three, especially not Eugene. At least Dwight being included will show Daryl and Tara that he’s on their side, so maybe they’ll quit bitching about him now. Silver lining!

Morgan is still looking pretty on edge and seeing dead people still so that’s not a great thing. I can’t help but wonder how he’ll get to FTWD, and I have a feeling it has to do with the helicopter. I might really lose my mind then.

On the battlefield, it’s a beautiful day. It’s no coincidence that Carl talked about feeling the sun on his face, and we see Rick leaned up against a tree, bleeding out with the sun on him. That connection between father and son will be even more emotional when Rick undoubtably flashbacks to the events from Carl’s letter.

Rick won’t die, but I’m sure it will be a dramatic moment that makes him realize that his mercy should prevail over his wrath…

You can take a look at the other sneak peeks and stills below! On Sunday, “All Out War” comes to an end with “Wrath”!
