FIRST LOOK: ‘Red Sparrow’ Starring Jennifer Lawrence, Coming this March

January 8, 2018 By Funmbi Leave a Comment

Jennifer Lawrence is forced into the world of espionage in the first trailer for the upcoming spy thriller Red Sparrow.

Our boo-thang Jennifer Lawrence has a new movie coming out! I’ve always loved seeing JLaw get her action on in films like The Hunger Games and the X-Men: First Class reboots, so it’s going to be great to see her in a thriller.

20th Century Fox has released a new trailer and poster for the upcoming spy thriller Red Sparrow, based upon the book by Jason Matthews and directed by Francis Lawrence. The film also stars Joel Edgerton, Matthias Schoenaerts, Charlotte Rampling, Mary-Louise Parker, and Jeremy Irons.

In the trailer, JLaw assumes a Russian accent for her role as Dominika Egorova. We see the circumstances that lead her to become caught up in Sparrow School, a secret intelligence service that trains exceptional young people like her to use their bodies and minds as weapons. The training borders on torturous, but Dominika is a master at the game. However, a mission brings her in contact with an American and things become complicated when they start to fall in love. Can she escape the Sparrows with her life?

Take a look at the new poster and images from the trailer below.

Red Sparrow hits theaters everywhere on March 2, 2018.

Dominika Egorova is many things.
A devoted daughter determined to protect her mother at all costs.
A prima ballerina whose ferocity has pushed her body and mind to the absolute limit.
A master of seductive and manipulative combat.

When she suffers a career-ending injury, Dominika and her mother are facing a bleak and uncertain future. That is why she finds herself manipulated into becoming the newest recruit for Sparrow School, a secret intelligence service that trains exceptional young people like her to use their bodies and minds as weapons. After enduring the perverse and sadistic training process, she emerges as the most dangerous Sparrow the program has ever produced. Dominika must now reconcile the person she was with the power she now commands, with her own life and everyone she cares about at risk, including an American CIA agent who tries to convince her he is the only person she can trust.
