Claire quickly realizes that abandoning her modern sensibilities and settling into Jamie’s life will be easier said than done. Watch a sneak peek of this week’s Outlander, “Crème de Menthe”.

Sassenachs, if you’re like me, you’re still basking in the wonderfulness of “A. Malcolm” *swoony sigh*
It’s wonderful to have Jamie and Claire back together again. Yet, by the end of the episode it’s pretty clear that, even though they’ve been able to reclaim their passionate physical relationship, there are still secrets between them… predominantly on Jamie’s side.
If you haven’t already done so, make sure to watch Inside the World of Outlander where Executive Producers Ronald D. Moore, Toni Graphia, and Matthew B. Roberts take us inside the episode. They discuss the episode title, constructing the printshop (which was originally the Master Raymond’s apothecary shop from Season 2), and Sam Heughan leaning to use the presses. Roberts, who wrote the episode, remarks on trying to portray Jamie and Claire’s intimacy, especially since 20 years have passed between them.
We get more insight about the episode from Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe in this behind-the-scenes featurette about Jamie and Claire’s reunion. Both Sam and Cait reflect on the immenseness of the moment. Jamie and Claire both believe the other to be dead (or at least gone), and unexpectedly being reunited with the love of their lives is shocking. At the same time, there is some insecurity, particularly as it relates to their physical relationship. Maril Davis is also interviewed and tells us about the lingering secrets. Can Claire fit into the life that Jamie has now?
Around 2:30, we get some glimpses into future episodes too…
*SIGH* I know that so much drama is coming, but as long as Jamie and Claire are together and in love, I choose to be optimistic!
In this Sunday’s episode “Crème de Menthe” (written by Karen Campbell, directed by Norma Bailey):
In the aftermath of a violent confrontation, Claire follows her conscience as a surgeon, even though it could put her and Jamie’s lives at risk. At the same time, Jamie attempts to evade the reach of the Crown as its representative closes in on his illegal dealings. (via STARZ)
Elle.com has an exclusive clip from “Crème de Menthe” featuring a conversation between Jamie and Claire. It looks like they’re still at the brothel and she’s apologizing for making his life more difficult. However, Jamie quickly disabuses Claire of that notion; he wants nothing more than to be with her. For Jamie, being with Claire is like being lifted out of the darkness. It’s so sweet! Watch HERE.
In a second clip (via Hollywood Life) Fergus helps Wee Ian to seduce a barmaid he’s been eyeing. Fergus lays down all the tips in his arsenal, including telling the lady she’s beautiful and making sure she has all the drinks she wants. It’s so clear that the two were raised together as siblings and Fergus sees it as his duty as an older brother to guide Ian through his first sexual experience. *SNORT* Watch the clip HERE.
Relive the very best moments of “A. Malcolm” with our recap and my video review with Katie where we talk about parallels to Jamie/Claire’s wedding night, Mr. Willoughby and portrayals of people of color in the series, and much more.
Then make sure to live tweet “Crème de Menthe” with me at 8p/7c this Sunday, October 29 on STARZ!
