RECAP: ‘Claws’ Season 1, Episode 8 “Teatro”

August 1, 2017 By Team WSN Leave a Comment

Everyone learns that Roller is back from the dead and he’s out for blood. But whose?  Full recap of this week’s Claws by @luvthispayne.

Welcome back y’all, last week’s episode left us with Dean and Virginia discovering that Roller was very much still alive! This week there were fewer laughs and a lot more drama. Let’s get into it!

Our episode opens and the Nail Artisans crew are at the shop discussing Virginia and Dean’s recent revelation about Roller coming back from the dead. Jenn is obviously upset because this means that Bryce really did murder the wrong folks. His bad. We tried to keep him out of grown folks business, but nah he had to be all Captain Avenge My Bro’s Death and look at him now. Welp. I, for one will not be shedding any tears about the Coombs being gone. I’m good. Anyway, as they are discussing how, who, what, and why the hell Roller is still alive, and why he was in Miami, Hank swings by and brings Jenn a plant. Jenny not from the Block is being reeeeeaaaaallllll friendly!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Let’s keep an eye on this situation. Girl you feeling lusty?! Desna starts considering running away when IN. WALKS. ROLLER. BYKE. FROM. DE. DEAD.

Chile. Roller walks in and errbody in the shop looks like they need to change their underwear. Roller seems a tad bit off though. He “lovingly” greets Desna talking about how much he missed her and that he doesn’t remember what actually happened to him when he was shot. Whew. Let’s all breathe a sigh of relief. Shout out to amnesia. Roller says he hasn’t been to visit Uncle Daddy and Auntie Mama. Y’all what kind of sick incestual sh** is going on in this family. I think this is the first time we’ve heard them refer to her as Auntie Mama. Liiiiiiiiikkkkkkeeeee. I don’t eem know how or why they are connected as Aunt/Uncle and Mama/Daddy but I am grossed out in advance.

In Clay’s mansion, he’s meeting with Weird and Weirder discussing his plans for expansion, when tiny white Jesus shines a light on Roller and he walks in. Clay might be the only one genuinely happy to see Roller back from the dead. Scratch that because Bryce comes running in crying and he’s happier than a pig in sh** to see Roller back too. Dr. Ken gives Roller a checkup and IDK who really trusts their health in Ken’s incapable hands. Chile. Not. I. Uncle Daddy informs Bryce that Roller doesn’t really remember anything about the shooting, but just who he is. I can see right now this is going to get messy, quickly. Roller who obviously didn’t have enough romps with his Maniac Mistress in the Swamp, suggests that he and Desna go spend some alone time. Everybody with semi-good sense (Quiet Ann, Little Polly Pocket, and Jenn) don’t think this is a good idea. Of course Clay and Bryce think its great *insert eye roll here*

Desna foolishly agrees to go off with Roller on her own and I am thinking that girlfriend hasn’t watched enough horror movies in her lifetime. One, I am not going anywhere by myself with a man I tried to kill because ummmm I tried to kill him. Two, I am going anywhere by myself with a man who magically returns from the dead?! What’s on your mind girl? This just ain’t smart. Fix. It. Jesus.

Side note: Shout out to Toby’s new titties. They were sitting quite perky at Uncle Daddy’s house. Honestly, I think Toby had the only reasonable reaction to seeing Roller back from the dead. Lol.

At the Shrimp Shack, Desna and Roller are talking about his return from the dead. Y’all I was so nervous that the love Doctor would walk up any minute and all hell would break loose. This is the same Shrimp Shack where he and Desna met. I could barely focus, I was praying to the old gods and the new. Roller tells Desna that he was a captive of the looney lover who rescued him and that put his life in perspective. He starts apologizing for treating her wrong and Desna is cautiously believing him. Roller has been away from his love long enough and wants to head to Desna’s house because he has one thing on his mind……

Jenny not from the Block, Miss Ann, Little Polly Pocket, and China Doll (Mochachina is her new nickname courtesy of Little Polly Pocket lol) are ALL flipping out. For obvious reasons everybody is worried that this is just an attempt to get Desna alone so he can kill her. I have to agree with the group on this one. Girl, just say NO. But when has anyone in this crew ever made a good decision? I can answer, they haven’t.

Lord, what happens next is one of the steamiest sex scenes, the two of them have ever had. Lord, I had to clutch my pearls and fan my lady loins.

That morning and the GANG is all there. Jenn has brought Bryce and the girls over for breakfast. Jenn probably just wanted to make sure Desna is still alive. Right as I was getting comfortable and thinking this is okay, we good; the doorbell rings. Dr. Ruval. Ummmm who told you that its okay to just show up looking all good at my house with pastries? Sir. This is not okay. Soon as Desna steps all, the Love Doctor is kissing her and trying to get frisky. Roller. Is. In. The. House. But not for long because of course Roller comes out and sees them kissing. Desna has a death wish. She just don’t want to live.

Luckily for her Roller seems to take it well and heads to the clinic with Bryce. Roller isn’t taking it all that well that Bryce is running the clinic. In fact, Roller is trying to get into the supply closet. What’s going on here. Let’s think about it, last time we saw Roller he was getting kidnapped by the Russians, now he back? Something doesn’t not smell right, and I ain’t talking about the sheets on Dr. Ken bed.

Meanwhile, Uncle Daddy is celebrating Roller’s the return the only way he knows how, A PARTY. Thank the good lord above the theme is just all white…… there’s a pun there but I’m just gone move on because I am happy that it ain’t Gone With the Wind. At the party Roller makes it known that he absolutely remembers that it was VIRGINIA and DESNA tried to kill him, but he does so by lying about the Russians trying to kill him. Awwwwwww shit. This is bad.

via GIPHY

This is really really bad. This party is full of bad ass surprises. Y’all Dean tells Roller that he and Virginia had sex and wait for it…. That she orgasmed. (I may or may not be cheering from Dean in my head for this) If Desna wasn’t so skressed about Roller being back from the dead, I’m sure Virginia would actually be dead. But as the dysfunction level rises at this party, you have Roller calling Bryce a crackhead in front of everybody because he’s upset that he can’t run the clinic anymore.

As if we are not processing enough, Little Polly Pocket and Dr. Ken are in a stall at the party having sex. In. A. Stall. Outside. At. The. Party. They nasty.

via GIPHY

There’s a surprise visitor at the party and its the Russian twins letting Roller know he has 24 hours to get them 150K. Oh. So that’s what this is about. He owes them so money. Oh boy. We all know he don’t have the money which is why he tells Uncle Daddy it was them that tried to kill him. He wants Uncle Daddy to kill them first. The crew convenes to discuss how they are going to get rid of Roller. First though, they want to know his beef with the Russians. Quiet Ann and Little Polly Pocket settle on doing a pop up at the Russians check cashing place.

At the check cashing spot, Miss Ann and Little Polly Pocket show up and you guessed, Little Polly Pocket is in disguise. Did y’all see how Miss Ann looked at her lmaooooo. I swear Little Polly Pocket have more identities than a Dr. Who cast. Seriously, Miss Ann is all of us every time Polly Pocket opens her mouth. This time though it was a New Jersey accent. Lol

via GIPHY

The cashier at the check cashing place informs our two snoops that Roller was coming and depositing 30k like clockwork. So this prompts Desna, Polly, Ann, and Ken to start going through the clinic’s paperwork to see where Roller was getting the money. Surprise, surprise. Roller created a fake supplier and was invoicing the 30k to them but taking the money to the Russians….. Oh baby, he’s sneaky. We still don’t know why though. Polly suggests Desna immediately take this info to Uncle Daddy and let him deal with Roller’s disloyal ass but Desna wants to play it carefully. I actually agree with Desna. We know Uncle Daddy has a sweet spot for Roller so he might not believe this, we also know that Roller is sneaky and he might turn this around on them. Decisions, Decisions.

Back at Clay’s mansion, Bryce and Jenn are still fighting because Jenn desperately wants Bryce to reconsider his criminal ways and let Roller have the clinic. But y’all know Bryce is Mr. I Wanna Be Down, so he ain’t letting go of the clinic. Shoot, he’s even started to sound like Uncle Daddy, saying he’ll just donate some money in the Coombs’ name and he’s sick of hearing Jenn whine like a broken record. Oh look who done read a couple more chapters in their self help book and thinks he’s a big boy now. Excuse the hell outta us.

via GIPHY

I’m about ready to snatch his ass up for Jenn. Mr. Crying in Your Pillow Case is suddenly big balls because he’s running one little clinic. Jenn better check him before he goes off the deep end. Chile. At the strip club and Clay lets Roller know that they ain’t killing the Russians because they tryna expand and they don’t need the heat right now. Bryce butts in and Roller has lots of shit to talk to him about him not being man enough for this business. Bryce reminds Roller that he killed the Coombs’ but Roller rebuts “you shot the wrong people genius.” BLIPPITY BLOPPITY BLOOP. Y’all I just had to wall slid because that was a low blow. This is some high redneck drama and I am here for all of it. FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT.

Bottom line though, Bryce is doing a good ass job running the clinic and Uncle Daddy is not taking it from him. Roller ain’t happy. Maybe he should’ve stayed dead. He just causing all kinds of problems.

I promise this episode had more problems than a Biggie Smalls song because Miss Ann is boo loving the Detective that she’s supposed to be broken up with. During their daytime caking, Miss Ann learns that Detective Branch is investigating the Coombs’ murder. Miss Ann girrrrrlllll. What are you doing? Detective Branch receives something that we don’t know what it is, but obviously its important enough that she rushes off the phone. Detective Branch heads to Roller’s house and on his dock she finds a bloody, broken nail. Miss Ann is going to be put in a tough spot with her Lady Love, I can see it now. And I’m not ready.

via GIPHY

Ann is back at the shop and everyone is cracking on Polly about her sexing Dr. Ken when in walks Riva, the Russian Madam Queen Pin. In a twist of events, Desna tells her that she was the one who tried to kill Roller but Roller is tryna pin it on Riva and crew. Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. So, like, we just telling all our secrets now? Okay girl. Riva says that Roller was actually working for them. So wayment. Roller was stealing from Uncle Daddy while working for the Russians, this disloyal hoochie…….

Desna decides to confront Roller with her new info and I am just JUMPING UP AND DOWN THIS IS NOT SMART, THIS IS NOT SMART! When she arrives at probably one of the WORST meeting spots, Roller pulls a gun and forces her inside the car. Lawd. Desna what were you thinking going alone and with Roller?! Chile, was good sense on back order when these folks were born? I just. Well, we have to wait until next week to find out if Roller sends Desna to swim with the fishes…. Let’s hope not. Can we form a prayer circle right quick for our girl?

What did y’all think? See you next week!
