Idris Elba as an intergalactic, dystopian, gunslinging badass? YES PLEASE!
This morning Sony/Columbia Pictures released the first trailer for the upcoming adaptation of Stephen King’s science fiction thriller, The Dark Tower.
Judging from the trailer, this film will be epic in every way, as Roland Deschain (Idris Elba), the last Gunslinger, faces off against the Man in Black (Matthew McConaughey), apparently a worse villain than the devil. Just as the Gunslinger hits a wall in this battle, and maybe even loses faith, hope is renewed when he crosses paths with a boy from Earth, Jake (Tom Taylor). Jake can not only see the other worlds, but also knows the fate of the universe is in jeopardy if the Man in Black destroys the Dark Tower. Oh yes, epic battle is EPIC.

Gunslinger will definitely love Earth’s affinity for guns. *SNORT* I cannot with how badass that gunslinging is! And can we talk about how creepy the Man in Black is? *SHIVERS*
