In exactly ONE MONTH, American Gods will debut on STARZ and we cannot wait!

American Gods, adapted from Neil Gaiman’s 2001 award-winning novel, stars Ricky Whittle as Shadow Moon, Ian McShane as Mr. Wednesday, Emily Browning as Laura Moon, and Pablo Schreiber as Mad Sweeney.

Other members of the star-studded cast include Yetide Badaki (Bilquis), Bruce Langley (Technical Boy), Crispin Glover (Mr. World), Orlando Jones (Mr. Nancy), Gillian Anderson (Media), Kristin Chenoweth (Easter), Jonathan Tucker (Low Key Lyesmith), Cloris Leachman (Zorya Vechernyaya), Peter Stormare (Czernobog), Chris Obi (Anubis), Demore Barnes (Mr. Ibis), Corbin Bernsen (Vulcan), and Mousa Kraish (The Jinn).

American Gods posits a different kind of war brewing—one between Old and New Gods. The traditional Old Gods, with mythological roots from around the world, fear irrelevance as their believers die off or are seduced by the money, technology, and celebrity offered by the New Gods.

Shadow Moon (Ricky Whittle) is an ex-con who, when left adrift by the recent death of his wife, becomes bodyguard and traveling partner to conman Mr. Wednesday (Ian McShane). But in truth, Mr. Wednesday is a powerful old deity, on a cross-country mission to build an army and reclaim his lost glory.

The show premieres on Sunday, April 30 at 9:00pm ET|PT with Bryan Fuller (Hannibal, Pushing Daisies, Heroes) and Michael Green (Logan, Murder on the Orient Express, Kings) as writers and showrunners. David Slade (Hannibal, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse) is directing the pilot and additional episodes.

In the newly revealed opening titles, fans get a first look at the opening for the series which pairs Old and New God relics in a totem of gigantic proportions.
