In just a few weeks Saban’s Power Rangers will be returning to the big screen and we cannot wait!
From the synopsis and trailer we’ve already seen, this is going to be an origin story that hearkens back to the original TV series, but also takes a modern, darker, maybe even dystopian tone.
This week Lionsgate revealed the first clip from the upcoming film!
We know that the five high school teens Jason (Dacre Montgomery), Kimberly (Naomi Scott), Trini (Becky G), Billy (RJ Cyler), and Zack (Ludi Lin) get to know each other over several weeks of Saturday morning detention.
The new clip picks up after the group skips detention and, in the course of their adventure, come across the Power Ranger coins. Ultimately, they reach the Command Center and in the final moments of the clip, meet Alpha-5:
Yesterday, several movie houses, including Regal, Cinemark, and AMC debuted exclusive Power Rangers posters to commemorate the fact that tickets are now available for pre-order.

Saban’s Power Rangers follows five ordinary high school kids who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove – and the world – is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat.
