What do we know about Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2? Check out the latest trailers and tv spots, including a first look at Star-Lord’s father!
I know we’re still giddy about the news that Infinity War is currently filming AND that Peter Quill + Guardians and Spider-Man are joining the Avengers in this adventure.
But remember that next up in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, which is out this May, and we already have quite a bit to whet our appetite!
Though we got the first teaser last October, Marvel shared the first official trailer in December, with over two minutes of our favorite universe-saving gang! Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Drax (Dave Bautista), Rocket (Bradley Cooper), and Baby Groot (Vin Diesel) are all back, kicking ass and taking numbers. In the background, The Sweet’s “Fox On The Run” serenades that crazy action.
With that said, there’s still so much humor (including a moment where Peter’s feelings for Gamora is revealed and Drax enjoys the embarrassment WAY too much (*giggles*).
Similarly, last month during the Super Bowl we had another “Welcome to the freakin’ Guardians of the Galaxy”, with an extended TV-spot. We see that Yondu (Michael Rooker) and Nebula (Karen Gillan) return, as well as meeting a new character, Mantis (Pom Klementieff).
And finally, just yesterday, Chris Pratt debuted a new trailer on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and right at the end, we get a first look at Peter’s father Ego, played by Kurt Russell!
