There are only two episodes left of The Walking Dead in 2016! Here’s a look at “Sing Me A Song” and how it may set up for the midseason finale next week!

Last week on The Walking Dead, Tara found an oceanside colony and it turned out the group of women had run away from Negan’s wrath after he killed all their men and sons. Before she fully escapes, one woman tells Tara not to give away any information about their settlement. They have a huge stockpile of weapons and want to stay away from any conflicts involving Negan.
After making it back to Alexandria and finding out what happened to Denise, Abraham, and Glenn, Tara keeps the promise she made to this new group. When asked, she tells Rosita that she hasn’t found any weapons to help in the fight against Negan, and that they may not have to fight at all.
I’m completely over this pacifist point-of-view on The Walking Dead. When this philosophy runs parallel to Negan’s it does nothing but cause frustration. Maybe it’s because the group hasn’t been together since 7.1, maybe it’s because Rick hasn’t found his fire yet, maybe it’s because Daryl is still imprisoned by Negan, but the idea that fighting doesn’t have to be an option is killing me.
On this week’s episode, we finally see what Carl and Jesus are up to on that truck to Negan’s compound. Jesus was sent on a recon mission to find out where Negan really lives, and Carl seems to be on a search for his own answers.
We know that Negan finds Carl because in a short clip, it appears that he’s walking into the warehouse that Daryl’s in, and Negan’s explaining to him who the Saviors are. There’s also the tease of an iconic comic book moment come to life as Carl shows Negan what his eye looks like under the bandage.
Since Carl was with Jesus, we can speculate that Jesus will run back and tell Hilltop and the ASZ that Carl’s been taken by Negan. Michonne, who has already left the ASZ to do her own recon, will surely see this, too, and Rick may snap out of his stupor long enough to get to the Savior’s compound.
How will Carl’s new friendship(?) with Negan further strain his relationship with his dad. Things have been rocky between them for a long time, but this could really push Rick over the edge.
We also need to take into consideration Spencer and his short temper, Rosita and her quest for revenge, Maggie and Sasha as they work on taking control of Hilltop, and when will Ezekiel and Shiva make the acquaintance of Rick Grimes?
