PREVIEW: ‘The Walking Dead’ Season Seven, Episode 3 “The Cell”

November 5, 2016 By Katie Leave a Comment

Last week, we focused on The Kingdom, and now we look at the Saviors! What’s happening to Daryl in the wake of Glenn’s death? Here’s a look at “The Cell.”

Daryl has found himself in a bad spot after the season premiere and resides with the Saviors and Negan for the time being. He did get in a good shot, though, even if it somewhat contributed to Glenn’s death. I don’t blame Daryl for his death completely.

I think Negan would have killed another person anyway. Rick and his group killed way too many of Negan’s guys for him to only kill one of theirs to make a point. This will weigh heavily on Daryl, though, and we know how much the show loves Daryl’s manpain, so I don’t see it letting up anytime soon.

The outcome of Daryl’s season one-esque outburst was Negan’s piqued interest. All he can see now is a challenge in breaking Daryl. Unfortunately, he doesn’t know that Daryl has been broken for awhile. (See: his pre-apocalypse life, Merle, The prison, Beth, ASZ, Denise, Glenn…)

What proves to be the most interesting takeaway from this upcoming bottle episode is that Dwight seems to be trying to show Daryl the ropes. This puts us all in a bit of situation since Daryl’s character closely mirrors the Dwight character of the comics.

At this point, all we can do is sit down on Sunday nights and hope the picture becomes a little clearer as a huge battle looms in the distant future.

For the preview of this week’s episode, “The Cell”, look below at the stills and sneak peak! Lots and lots of Dwight here!
