We return to Agrabah and learn the truth about Aladdin, Jasmine, and him being a Savior. In the present, Emma is forced the reveal the truth of her condition. Get a sneak peek of tonight’s Once Upon a Time!
Well fellow Oncers, we learned quite a lot in last week’s Once Upon a Time (“Strange Case“)…
We learned that Rumple looks pretty good with a haircut, a point that the Evil Queen agreed with (still can’t believe she has a crush on him!).
We also learned that Rumple was integral to Dr. Jekyll creating the serum that would separate his primitive, evil side (Mr. Hyde) from himself. Why did Rumple want this? Because he was starting to fall in love with Belle (his maid) and didn’t want to be encumbered by the weakness that love would bring brings.
Through Rumple’s failed attempts to do away with Hyde, we also found out how to kill an evil doppelgänger: the original had to die. This was evidenced by Killian stabbing Jekyll through the chest as he tried to kill Belle.
Of course this had huge implications for Regina… did this mean we must lose Regina to get rid of the Evil Queen?
Regina also made an interesting observation about the Jekyll/Hyde situation: just because Jekyll rid himself of his inner, evil most set (Hyde), it didn’t mean he was immune to all evil proclivities. Jekyll still fell prey to jealousy and ultimately lashed out to kill the woman he supposedly loved.
Meanwhile (and important for tonight’s episode), we met Princess Jasmine! She was going by the name Shirin as Snow’s teacher’s aid. But by the end of the show, we saw that Shirin was in Storybrooke to search for Aladdin…
And tonight’ we travel to Agrabah to learn about their back story!

ALADDIN’S FATE IS REVEALED AS HE AND PRINCESS JASMINE TRY TO SAVE THEIR HOME FROM JAFAR—In a flashback to Agrabah, Princess Jasmine recruits Aladdin to help her recover a secret weapon capable of breaking Jafar’s hold on the Sultan and saving the city from ruin. Their quest takes them to the Cave of Wonders where Aladdin’s fate is revealed. In Storybrooke, the Evil Queen tricks Hook and the Charmings and forces Emma to reveal her secret in an effort to divide the family. While the Evil Queen pampers Zelena, elsewhere in town, Regina and our heroes scramble to learn what became of Aladdin. (via ABC)
So we’re going to learn a lot in the upcoming show… like what happens to Saviors and why they can’t have their HEAs. And Emma will finally tell everyone the truth about her condition, though I’m hoping this will bring everyone closer together.

Yep, Aladdin is (was?) a Savior too! I’m so excited to learn more about the Savior mythology. Plus Aladdin and Jasmine is one of my absolute fave Disney couples and it’ll be great to have them in Storybrooke. Does this mean we’ll meet Genie too?!
