Ross and Demelza attempt to get their finances in order before the baby arrives. Elsewhere, Verity tries to make a good impression with her husband’s family. Get a sneak peek of tonight’s Poldark.

Poldark is back tonight after a brief hiatus last week, and I can’t wait to get back to Cornwall!
The last time we were with the Poldarks, Ross was having difficulty settling back into his life, especially given his dire financial situation.
At the same time, Demelza had some pretty important news of her own to share, but wasn’t receiving a lot of support from Ross.
Thanks to Demelza and Elizabeth’s efforts, the two branches of the Poldarks were able to reunite, but things took an interesting turn when Ross and Elizabeth reminisced about their time together and always having a piece of one another’s heart. Of course Demelza walked in on part of that conversation *sigh*
Meanwhile, George Warleggan continued scheming for the best way to undermine Ross’ efforts. His number two man represented his interests in the Wheal Leisure mine and was already interfering with Ross’ plans to expand their mining efforts. George also had his men beat up Jud for siding with Ross during the trial… thank goodness Jud wasn’t really dead (though he gave Prudy quite the scare). All I know is that George better keep that gun close to him and keep up with those pugilism lessons.
But, despite all the frustration, in the end Demelza told Ross she was pregnant and Ross accepted the news with happiness. This was my favorite part of the episode, YAY!

Smugglers make Ross an offer. Ross makes Francis an offer. Verity reappears. Ross and George engage in a frank discussion. Demelza risks her neck before a blessed event. (via PBS)
Ross better not be thinking about working with the smugglers again. Also I can’t wait to see this “frank discussion” between Ross and George… I think I have an idea how that will end. And judging from the images below, Demelza’s “blessed event” is going to be so perfectly wonderful!

I love Verity so much! I hate to see her worried about meeting Andrew’s children… and of then Francis still refuses to reconcile *sigh*
