Folks, we’re a little over a month away from the premiere of Luke Cage on September 30, and I CANNOT wait.
I’ve been re-watching my favorite episodes from Jessica Jones (basically every episode) to get ready.
The first Luke Cage trailer still has me all up in my feels… who doesn’t love watching a badass hero rise to the occasion and defend his hood?!
This exactly what occurs in the latest clip.
Watch below to see what happens when Luke comes looking for a mob boss and his goons. It becomes pretty clear that they’re not familiar with Luke and his special gift of being indestructible:
Normally the person who brings guns to a street fight has the upper hand, but not this time!
However, keep in mind Luke might be indestructible, but his clothes? Not so much! I imagine constantly having to replenish one’s wardrobe would get pretty annoying, LOL.
According to Rolling Stone, we can expect to see Mark Colter reprise his role as Luke Cage in the upcoming Marvel/NETFLIX collaboration, The Defenders, which will feature a super-team with Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Danny Rand/Iron Fist (played by Finn Jones in another solo NETFLIX original series).
