While Molly and Bassam mourn their loss, politics gets even more dangerous in Abuddin. Get a sneak peek of tonight’s Tyrant, “A Prayer for our Daughters” airing at 10:00pm ET|PT on FX.

Folks, we need to talk because I’m still not OK after last week’s Tyrant. Emma. EMMA. Ugh, my heart is still breaking.
I was so hopeful that Bassam and General Cogswell would be able to coordinate Emma’s rescue. But who could imagine that the people of that town would turn on the Abuddinian military and support Ihab Rashid.
And Ihab was so determined to get his vengeance that, despite Emma’s pleas and the pleas of her parents, he stabbed her in the middle of the street and left her to die. Bassam and Molly watched all of this via drone footage…
I don’t think there’s a word to describe how devastated Molly was. Bassam was just in shock as he watched his baby girl bleed out on the street. How can Molly and Bassam’s relationship recover from this?
Plus, as I’ve been saying all along, I really think Bassam has the potential to be the most tyrannical of them all… and what else would push him over the edge than the murder of his beautiful, innocent Emma?
In all honesty, Sheik Al-Qadi and his wife, Nafisa might initially bear the brunt of Bassam’s anger.
Interestingly, Emma wasn’t the only murder in “The Dead and the Living”.
I just knew Ahmed would find out the truth about how his father assaulted Nusrat on their wedding night. I did NOT think Ahmed would smother Jamal with a pillow!
So shocking, but is it terrible to say that I don’t think anyone is really going to miss Jamal…? Leila and Ahmed certainly won’t, and perhaps Bassam will be too busy seeking to avenge Emma.
In terms of other developments in the episode, I’m incredible interested to see how Daliyah’s relationship with Fauzi develops (even though I’m a Bassaliyah shipper).
I’m also hella concerned about Sammy pursuing a relationship with his married professor.
What did you think of last week’s Tyrant?
In tonight’s episode “A Prayer for our Daughters” (written by Emmy Grinwis, directed by Michael Lehmann):
A disaster hits the country and Barry and Molly respond in different ways. Also: violent protests break out; Fauzi and Leila begin their political campaigns; and Al-Qadi is caught between Islamic factions. (via TV Guide)
Judging from the teaser trailer and episode images (bel0w), we’ll be spending a lot of time with Sheik Al-Qadi, Nafisa, and her trouble-making brother.
This might be a good thing because I’m not ready to watch Molly, Bassam, and Sammy mourn Emma *sobs* Perhaps Fauzi can be of some help.
