We’re days away from San Diego Comic-Con and I literally cannot control my flails! Over the last few weeks various studios and networks have been sharing their plans for SDCC; however, last week, Comic-Con International released the full schedule for Preview Night (Wednesday, July 20) through Sunday (July 24). It’s getting real, folks!
We already know Warner Bros. Television is bringing a historic 21 programs to this year’s Comic-Con, along with providing multiple opportunities for autograph signings.
Well, not to be outdone, Warner Bros. Pictures is also planning to make a huge splash in Hall H this year!
Earlier this week, Warner Bros. announced that they will once again take over the convention with the Studio’s biggest stars, DC’s best Super Heroes and “worst” Super-Villains, fantastic beasts great and small and more!
On Saturday, July 23 at 11:30am (PT) Warner Bros. Pictures will showcase several of its most-anticipated upcoming feature releases during its Hall H presentation. Conan O’Brien as the moderator/MC will be joined by cast and creators from Wonder Woman, Suicide Squad, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and more!

Also, being the historical fiction fan that I am, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword has me super intrigued… having my boo Charlie Hunnam as Arthur is definitely a bonus too 😉
In addition to this EPIC panel, there are other activities planned for the Exhibit Hall, including several autograph signings with stars:
• Warner Bros. Booth: a Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Wand Station and talent signing; The LEGO Batman Movie Selfie Booth; and an autograph signing with King Arthur: Legend of the Sword star Charlie Hunnam.
• DC Booth: Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman talent signings and costume displays; life-sized LEGO Batman character.

Wonder Woman hits movie theaters around the world next summer when Gal Gadot returns as the title character in the epic action adventure from director Patty Jenkins. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.
Joining Gadot in the international cast are Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, David Thewlis, Danny Huston, Elena Anaya, Ewen Bremner and Saïd Taghmaoui. Suicide Squad:
From director David Ayer comes Suicide Squad, starring Oscar nominee Will Smith, Oscar winner Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman and Oscar nominee Viola Davis. It feels good to be bad… Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super-Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself?
Written and directed by Ayer based on the characters from DC, the film also stars Jai Courtney, Jay Hernandez, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Ike Barinholtz, Scott Eastwood, Cara Delevingne, Adam Beach, and Karen Fukuhara in her feature film debut. The film opens worldwide in 3D, and in 2D, and in select IMAX 3D theaters August 5, 2016. www.suicidesquad.com
The LEGO Batman Movie
In the irreverent spirit of fun that made The LEGO Movie a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that ensemble – LEGO Batman – stars in his own big-screen adventure. But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker’s hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up.
Will Arnett reprises his starring role from The LEGO Movie as the voice of LEGO Batman, aka Bruce Wayne. Zach Galifianakis stars as The Joker; Michael Cera as the orphan Dick Grayson; Rosario Dawson as Barbara Gordon; and Ralph Fiennes as Alfred. The LEGO Batman Movie will open in theaters on February 10, 2017. www.LegoBatman.com

The international ensemble cast also includes Tian Jing, Corey Hawkins, Jason Mitchell, John Ortiz, Thomas Mann, Shea Whigham, Toby Kebbell and Eugene Cordero. Ritchie directs the film from a screenplay by Joby Harold and Guy Ritchie & Lionel Wigram, story by Joby Harold; slated for release on March 24, 2017. www.kingarthurmovie.com
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is an all-new adventure returning us to the wizarding world created by J.K. Rowling. The film opens in 1926 as Newt Scamander has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident…were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt’s fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds.
Starring with Redmayne are Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, two-time Oscar nominee Samantha Morton, Oscar winner Jon Voight, Ron Perlman, Carmen Ejogo, Jenn Murray, Faith Wood-Blagrove and Colin Farrell.
