The MTV Fandom Awards are coming back to Comic-Con on Thursday, July 21. Check out the full list of nominees and vote for your faves now!
In and of itself, San Diego Comic-Con is an AMAZING event with so much going on. It’s literally impossible to see and do everything you want to… which is why it’s important to prioritize and have several back-up plans. But if you can believe it, there are tons of off-site events too, which means your days are going to be packed!
For the last two years, the MTV Fandom Awards have taken over Petco Park and allowed us to celebrate our shipping and stanning in movies, TV, music, theater and video games, from subculture to mainstream worldwide success.
Well, the Fandom Awards are coming back for its third year! On Thursday, July 21 all Comic-Con badge holders are welcomed to join the fun at Petco Part. There will be tons of food, drinks, games and giveaways. The event will begin at 6:30pm PT, with the taping of the awards show beginning at 8:00pm PT. (The Fandom Awards will air on Sunday, July 24 at 8:00pm ET|PT on MTV.)
Today MTV announced the categories and nominees, including two new categories “Bandom of the Year” and “Animation Fandom of the Year.”
Voting begins today at fandomawards.mtv.com and will continue until Wednesday, July 20th, 2016. Check out the full list below:

Nominees for “Fandom of the Year” will feature 32 nominees going head-to-head across multiple platforms in a special social tournament spanning movies, TV dramas, TV comedies and, for the first time ever, video games.
The nominees for “Ship of the Year” will be voted on exclusively on Tumblr.
Nominees in both categories will be announced on Friday, July 8 and we’ll have that list for you. Hopefully, we’ll also find out who’s hosting this year too!
