How will Regina handle Robin’s death and Killian’s return? And what is Rumple planning to do with the Olympian crystal? Get a sneak peek of tonight’s Once Upon a Time TWO-HOUR finale (“Only You” and “An Untold Story”), starting at 7:00pm ET|PT on ABC.

How does a show simultaneously break my heart into pieces, while giving me the most wonderful joy? Well, this was 100% my experience during last week’s Once Upon a Time. In “Last Rites” we watched Emma and the Heroes mourn losing Killian. Hades had tricked them all, and he had to be stopped before turning Storybrooke into his own personal domain. Interestingly, helping Emma stop Hades was Killian’s unfinished business and he had an unexpected ally in King Arthur. They were able to get information about Hades’ weakness, the Olympian crystal, to Emma (via the Fairy Tale Book).
Unfortunately, Hades already had the crystal and activated it. So when Robin and Regina came to take Baby Hood, Hades used to weapon to kill Robin (who died saving Regina). *WEEPING* But when Zelena finally sees the truth about Hades, that he won’t give up his bid to rule a kingdom, even for her, she stabs him with the Olympian crystal, saving Regina and Storybrooke.
Then Storybrooke grieved during a double funeral for Killian and Robin. Regina and Zelena continued to bond when they agreed to name Baby Hood after her father—Robin *SOBS* And when the cemetery cleared out, Emma stayed behind and witnessed an unexpected miracle when Killian came back! As a reward for helping the Heroes destroy Hades, Zeus gave Killian back his life. So CaptainSwan lives on as OutlawQueen comes to an end; bittersweet, indeed.
I can’t tell you how happy I am to see Emma and Killian reunited. Their love gives me so much joy! But at the same time, why can’t Regina have nice things?! I mean, it’s great that she can have a true relationship with Zelena, and I’m sure there will be happiness in caring for Roland and Baby Robin, but still… *SIGH* Also, can we talk about what Rumple plans to do with the remnants of the Olympian crystal? Will he be able to wake Belle up (since her father won’t do it!)? Finally, it was pretty interesting to see Arthur step in as the ruler of the Underworld… but what happens to the rest of the folks from Camelot who remain in Storybrooke?
Hopefully tonight’s season finale will answer these questions, especially since we’re getting a two-hour show! Check out the synopsis of the two episode finale:
REGINA WRESTLES WITH HER INNER DEMONS AS SHE REELS FROM THE LOSS OF ROBIN HOOD WHEN HENRY GOES ON A DANGEROUS ROGUE MISSION, AND A PORTAL IS OPENED INTO A STRANGE AND TWISTED REALM—
In the first hour of the special two-hour season finale (“Only You”, written by David H. Goodman and Andrew Chambliss, directed by Romeo Tirone), Regina reels from the death of Robin Hood, and everyone tries to give her room to grieve, but when the heroes discover Gold has stolen Hades’ Olympian Crystal and tethered all of Storybrooke’s magic to it, they set out to stop him. Henry decides he no longer can stand all the pain magic has caused his family, so he goes rogue, with Violet in tow, to destroy magic once and for all. Meanwhile, Zelena, Snow, David and Hook attempt to open a portal that will return Merida and the other Storybrooke guests to their homes, but things go awry, and the group winds up in a deranged new world. (via ABC)
In the second hour (“An Untold Story”, written by Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, directed by Dean White), with the possibility of magic being destroyed and the fate of Storybrooke hanging in the balance, it’s a race for Emma and Regina to track down Henry before Gold can find him first. Regina continues to struggle with her frustrations over her former evil-self and, elsewhere, Snow, David, Hook and Zelena are imprisoned and must contend with very two very disturbed individuals that may give Gold a run for his money. (via ABC)
Watch these two clips from the upcoming finale episodes. In the first, Emma tries to find a sensitive way to tell Regina that Killian is back. (*spoiler alert* it doesn’t happen that way!) And in the second clip, the Heroes investigate another strange occurrence, this time something that Rumple is planning.

I am SO conflicted. I feel so happy that Killian is back… he will ALWAYS come for Emma, and she’ll do the same for him. Did you notice the little smirk on her face when he come stumbling into the cafe? But I also feel intense heartbreak on Regina’s behalf and a bit of jealousy and anger too. Regina makes a good point in the second clip… Emma shouldn’t question Regina’s stability or her ability to help stop Rumple’s plans. Regina deserves the same consideration that the Heroes offered Emma when Killian died.
What do you think?
