PREVIEW: ‘Scandal’ Season 5, Episode 18 “Till Death Do Us Part”

Jake is getting married! But will Liv speak now or forever hold her peace? Get a sneak peek of tonight’s Scandal (“Till Death Do Us Part”), airing at 9pm ET|PT on ABC.

Who knew that “Thwack!” was the sound made when beating someone to death with a chair? *SCREAMING*

But seriously Gladiators, I needed that one week hiatus after the last episode of Scandal, and truth be told, I’m still a hot mess. When that episode started and we saw that Lillian Forrester was visiting a medical clinic, at first I thought someone had found out about Liv’s abortion at the end of the mid-season finale! I didn’t imagine that Andrew Nichols would show his face again, much less threaten to expose his affair with Mellie AND that Fitz went to war in West Angola to save Liv. From pretty early on, it was clear that Liv was struggling with Andrew resurfacing and the trauma from her kidnapping. But then to have Andrew make light of Liv’s kidnapping, to speak with her with such vulgar language, and threaten to sell her again… goodness. I knew Liv would snap, but NOT LIKE THAT.

I think the illustrious Shonda Rhimes summed up the lessons best:

Lesson #1: Next time? Think twice before you kidnap, mentally torture and then try to sell our girl. #Scandal #TGIT

Lesson #2: Don’t start none, won’t be none. #Scandal #TGIT

Lesson #3: Maybe it is time that Olivia considered therapy. #Scandal #TGIT

And after unleashing her inner-B6-13 agent, Liv went back home to Papa Pope and Jake. What do we do now?

In tonight’s episode “Till Death Do Us Part” (written by Paul William Davies, directed by Steph Green):

JAKE AND ROWAN’S PLANS ARE FINALLY REVEALED—As Olivia deals with the aftermath of what she’s done, she finally finds out what exactly Jake and Rowan are plotting. But with their plans already in motion, Olivia is forced to make a gut-wrenching attempt to try and stop it. Meanwhile, in flashbacks, we learn more about Jake’s past and how he first got involved with B6-13. (via ABC)

Watch these two clips from the upcoming show.
In the first, Papa Pope and Jake encourage Liv to move on from killing Andrew. Then we learn about Liv’s true intentions behind spending these last few weeks with the family…

Olivia is in no mood for visitors but Papa Pope’s shocking news gets her attention. https://t.co/spe9Z8xVbh

Eli and Jake just got Poped! https://t.co/jSIEh9TKaB

Yes! It does look like Eli and Jake are getting Poped! I’m very curious to find out why Jake marrying Vanessa is so integral to their plan. Will the wedding really happen? Might Liv speak or forever hold her peace?

Take a look at 8+ images from “Till Death Do Us Part” and remember to tune into ABC at 9pm ET|PT for the new Scandal. I’ll be live tweeting (@WeSoNerdy) so come watch with me!
