Has En Sabah Nur threatened mankind before? Watch an old/new X-Men: Apocalypse teaser for some new insights!
In X-Men: Apocalypse, we know that a major battle will pit mutant against mutant. Many will side with Apocalypse and his Four Horsemen (Magneto, Storm, Psylocke, and Angel) and their plan to destroy humankind and take the world for mutants, alone. And still, Professor X and his X-Men (Mystique, Beast, Quicksilver, Jean Grey, Cyclops, Nightcrawler) are prepared to defend humans.
Of course, I’m on Team X, but that doesn’t mean I’m not SUPER curious about Apocalypse. If En Sabah Nur really is the first mutant, how long has he been on Earth? Is there any evidence to suggest that “The First One” has threatened mankind in the past?
Well, take a look at this recently unearthed promo for a documentary from the 1980s series In the Footsteps Of…En Sabah Nur. And, in fact, there’s reason to believe that the world’s first mutant actually existed thousands of years ago!
Did you hear that?! En Sabah Nur has been destroying civilizations for ages! We’re talking about the lost city of Atlantis, Athens, Pompeii, and more:
When Apocalypse rises, civilizations fall.

How interesting!
Even in the first film trailer, En Sabah Nur, himself, comments about how he’s the foundational figure behind the world’s major religions! SO scary and SO cool!
