There is less than a month until Captain America: Civil War hits theaters, and Marvel just released a new trailer to keep our anxiety levels at a ten.
During the MTV Movie Awards, a new Captain America: Civil War trailer debuted! This one gave us a bit more action and subtle side plot, specifically on Cap’s side.
The beginning of the clip features Cap, Falcon, and Scarlet Witch busting in somewhere that’s heavily guard. Falcon tells them that “Rumlow is on the third floor.” For those who don’t know, Brock Rumlow is the SHIELD/Hydra agent that got pulled from the rubble at the end of Winter Soldier and is transformed into Crossbones—one of Captain America’s biggest enemies.
We get our first (brief) glimpse of Crossbones a few seconds later.
As everything starts to unfold, I know we’ll see Tony and Steve at odds, but Steve will also be fighting what’s left of Hydra who wants Bucky, too. Will Tony come around and help him fight? Or will the Winter Soldier burn that bridge completely if he kills War Machine?
Finally, did y’all catch Black Panther digging his claws into Cap’s shield there at the end? I can’t wait to see how that plays out!
To break all this angst up and end on a happy note, how cute is Cap when he says, “Wanda, just like we practiced.” before letting her use her powers to throw him up through the third floor window? That’s just precious.
