Outlander Premiere Week is in full swing, and if you’re like me, you’re bingeing on all of Monday’s red carpet pics and watching (maybe re-watching) the From Scotland to Paris panel discussion held by the Television Academy this evening. All this this is psyching me up for the Season 2 premiere in the most serious way (honestly, I have massive tummy flutters and flails!).
Well Sassenachs, it looks like we’re much closer to the second season than we initially thought. STARZ announced that Outlander‘s premiere episode will be available starting Thursday, April 7!!!
There are several platforms that we can take advantage of. This week STARZ launched a new, standalone subscription streaming app, so subscribers will have access to the Season 2 premiere early. Starz.com and several TV OnDemand and online platforms will also provide fans the chance to watch the first full episode early. *EXCITE*
So with just 24 hours to go before new a new Outlander episode is finally in our eyes, enjoy this new trailer, which gives us some insight’s into Jamie’s perspective in the upcoming season:
The 13-episode second installment of “Outlander” begins as Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan) arrive in France, hell-bent on infiltrating the Jacobite rebellion led by Prince Charles Stuart, and stopping the battle of Culloden. With the help of his cousin Jared, a local wine merchant, Jamie and Claire are thrown into the lavish world of French society, where intrigue and parties are abundant, but political gain proves far less fruitful. Altering the course of history presents challenges that begin to weigh on the very fabric of their relationship. However, armed with the knowledge of what lies ahead, Claire and Jamie must race to prevent a doomed Highland uprising and the extinction of Scottish life as they know it.
