Team Witness stops at nothing to rescue Abbie, but Pandora and The Hidden One have plans of their own. Get a sneak peek of tonight’s Sleepy Hollow, airing at 8:00pm ET|PT on FOX.
Thinking back to Sleepy Hollow‘s Fall Finale, I still have so many feelings. Watching Abbie sacrifice herself for her sister and friends left me heartbroken, scared, and incredibly nervous. But having a couple months to reflect has, more than anything, left me curious. Where in the world is Abigail Mills?!
Well, in an interview with TV Insider, executive producer Clifton Campbell shares that the midseason premiere will provide Sleepy Hollow fans won’t be waiting too long before we get the details:
A lot of that will be explained; a lot of where she went and what happened, and why that decision was so important to her will be explained. It obviously reflects a great deal on Ichabod Crane and to a no lesser extent, Jenny and Joe, our new team. They’re fighting something in the supernatural with Pandora and the Hidden One that they don’t understand, and the rules aren’t quite what they were with Moloch, which was just utter destruction.
There’s a plan afoot [with Pandora and the Hidden One]. There’s the rise of a once-powerful old god, and [the team] finds themselves in over their heads, and they’re trying to do everything they can to not only survive, but to try and put an end to them. The first few episodes answers a lot of questions [and] it asks a lot of questions that will be answered over the back half [of the season]. And a lot of relationships that have started to develop in the first half will be very necessary for teaming together if they’re all going to fight and put this threat to bed.
So the conflict between Team Witness and Pandora/The Hidden One continues; and even though we might learn where Abbie is, there doesn’t seem to be any guarantee that we’ll get a reunion.

So the game is on and Team Witness is rushing to rescue Abbie from wherever she now is. However, Pandora and her “Hidden” lover won’t make things easy for Ichabod and Jenny.
Watch these clips from the upcoming show (via a TV Line exclusive). It’s been a month since Abbie’s disappearance and Ichabod is grabbing at any and all straws (read: enchanted objects) to try and bring her back. In a second sneak peek, we see that Ichabod seems to have a hard time taking care of himself without Abbie’s guidance:
The jug that Orpheus used to track down Eurydice in the Underworld?! Where did Ichabod even find that?
Seriously, it’s clear that both Ichabod and Jenny are hurting from losing Abbie. But at least they seem optimistic that she’s alive, even if her spirit endures in another dimension. Now it’s a matter tracking her down. So hopefully Ichabod can find that spell! (Also, can someone please show Ichabod how to use a microwave!)
