The 2016 Awards season has kicked off and Sassenachs will be pleased to learn that Outlander already has some wins under its belt! This past Wednesday (January 6, 2016), the 42nd People’s Choice Awards took place in Los Angeles (broadcast live on CBS) and Outlander walked away with two awards: Caitriona Balfe won for Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Actress and the show won for Favorite Cable TV Sci-Fi/Fantasy Show!

Both awards are well-deserved and (hopefully) the first of many! The 2016 Golden Globes are around the corner and Outlander has three nominations: Best Television Series in the Drama category; Caitriona Balfe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series (Drama) and Tobias Menzies for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series, or Motion Picture Made for Television.
